Code of Ethics

I-1.1—To be familiar with the knowledge base of early childhood care and education and to stay informed through continuing education and training.
I-2.3
—To welcome all family members and encourage them to participate in the program.
I-2.8
—To help family members enhance their understanding of their children and support the continuing development of their skills as parents.
I-3A.2
—To share resources with co-workers, collaborating to ensure that the best possible early childhood care and education program is provided.
I-1.6
—To use assessment instruments and strategies that are appropriate for the children to be assessed, that are used only for the purposes for which they were designed, and that have the potential to benefit children.I chose this because they are important to me as an educator. I believe we must be life long learners because the more we know, the better we can help our students, co-workers, parents, and the community. I want all of my parents to feel welcomed and participate in things going on in the classroom. My motto is two are better than one any day. I believe it is always good to collaborate with parents, co-workers, and the community to come up with great ideas. Also I believe that it is important to always assess your children in order for you to know what they have grasped from your lesson. This shows you what you need to go back and re-teach.
